Tamanooya Shrine Fortune Teller
This ceremony used to be held on a lunar calendar August 15, now held on 24th September by the adoption of the solar calendar, the day before the Tam ado Shrine festivals.
Nowadays it is done on the stone pavement in front of the gate inside the shrine on the closest Saturday.
According to the shrine legend, it is said that the origin of this shrine was Emperor Sakami's the fortune teller for the battle against Kumasi.
Since it was done in the midnight, it was called night religious service. Also because of the ceremony just looks like sumo, it is also known as fortune teller Sumo.
