Kusunomori (kusu forest) is a giant camphor tree located on the northern foot of Tateyama mountain (205m high) Shimonoseki city, Toyoura-cho Kawatana. Although it’s a single tree, the branches are widely spread in every direction and the name derives to the appearance of the tree that resembles a forest.
The circumference of the tree trunk is 9.5m and 21m tall.
18 branches are extended in all directions and the longest reaches to 27 meters long.
