Daimyo processions parade over the bridge imitating Sankin-kotai, the practice of alternate residence of Daimyos. In addition many events are held in the area around the Kintai-Bridge including a musical performance by the Iwakuni drummer’s association and a material arts demonstration by the Iwakuni firearm unit.
