Misumi, a beautiful hot spring town with townscape of Misumi river which flows right in front of Katsuki Yasuo's birthplace. The "Katsuki Yasuo museum" stands in the center of this hot spring village in a perfect harmony with the scenery in the background.

"This is my planet earth" The artist who loved his hometown more than anyone never left this place and worked on with his art under the theme of "Human love and Peace".

Our museum exhibits his famous works, oil paintings, woodblock prints which were kept in Katsuki's house until the donation from his family to this museum in 1993.
