Located inside Saidoji Temple in Hagi Esaki.
Wooden structured hexagon temple, 4.26m in length of per surface, 11m in height. Pyramidal clay tiled roof with a single pent roof, Mokoshi. The pagoda stands impressively on a prominent rock towards Esaki bay.
All the pillars inside mokoshi and the inner sanctum is all hexagonal.
The name of "floating island Saidoji temple in the middle of the sea" is known widely since Ouchi and Mori period as a worshipping place.
The jizo statue in this temple is also called "Kosodate-jizo (raising children jizo)", and is said it is the incarnation of a girl who jumped into the sea to kill herself after fell in love with a servant.
