It is called "Kasayama (umbrella mountain)" from the appearance that resembles an umbrella from distance.

There is a driveway until the top where you can enjoy the view of islands on the Japan sea.

A volcano made of basalt. The crater is located on the 60m high volcanic plateaus. Some other small craters have remained in a perfect shape on volcanic cones.

Cool and warm plants live together in the forest of this small active volcano. It is a highly evaluated academically.

→ 20 minutes walk徒歩20分
(2) 20 minutes by car from Chugoku highway Mine Higashi JCT
→ 20 minutes by car from Ogori Hagi road Edo IC
(Take Ogori Hagi Road directly connected to JCT towards Hagi)
→ Hagi city center→ 10 minutes by car from national highway 191
(Turn left at Kasayama entrance intersection
→ minutes by car from prefectural road 294
