Teahouse used to be an official hall of domain government used as an inn for office workers while business trip, patrols and to welcome the guests from the other domains.
Shigenari the seventh head of Mori clan who dedicated to the development of Hofu lived here after his retirement.
It was donated to Hofu city in 1939 and named "Eiunsou" derives to the law name of Shigenari. The renovating constructions are ongoing.
