Original nationally protected chicken breed from Yamaguchi Prefecture.
The Choushu Kurokashiwa is a chicken breed from Yamaguchi Prefecture which originated based on the Kurokashiwakei breed, showing the features of the region with a special emphasis on a meat-type chicken which has a good taste and is economically efficient.
The breast meat and breast strips of the Kurokashiwa chicken contain a lot of imidazole dipeptide, an igredient which helps against an easily tiring brain and supports the recovery of exhausted muscles.
It is soft with a suitable consistency and the more you chew the more you will taste. You can enjoy the original taste of the Choushu Kurokashiwa chicken by simply grilling or cooking it but you can also make a dish that takes a little extra effort.
