The statue was build in October 2010 nearby the birthplace of Takasugi Shinsaku.
Bronze statue sculptures young Shinsaku of 20 years old when he often visited Shokasonjuku and Meirinkan, with double swords on his waist with hakama style clothing. The statue is 1.8m in height, 3m including the base built towards his birthplace and Hagi castle. His favorite plum tree is also planted.
