Kaneko Misuzu, a poet and songwriter, was born in Nagato city Senzaki and moved to Shimonoseki in 1923. The monuments for her honor stands in many places, and this one in Kotobuki park consists of 3 stones; a photo of her when she was 20, the poem "Bee and the god" and her description. This place was chosen for its location near Kamiyama Bun-Eido to honor her in June 1998.
